Under Kongres-høringen med Inspector General Michael Horowitz kom det frem at FBI kan have «redigeret» vidneafhøringer. At klusse med vidneafhøringer er en meget alvorlig forbrydelse.

Michael Horowitz gik langt i at bekræfte at det er sket.

Det var lederen af Freedom Caucus, Mark Meadows, som spurgte Horowitz om det stemte at FBI har «redigeret» vidneafhøringerne.

The FBI may have «edited and changed» key witness reports in the Hillary Clinton and Russia investigations, a top House Republican charged in a hearing into FBI and Justice Department misconduct Tuesday. (…)

«The other thing that I would ask you to look into, there is growing evidence that 302s were edited and changed,” Meadows told Horowitz. “Those 302s, it is suggested that they were changed to either prosecute or not prosecute individuals. And that is very troubling.”

So-called «302s» are reports on witness interviews compiled by federal investigators. Horowitz said later he has additional information suggesting that the witness reports were changed after-the-fact in both the Clinton and Russia probes — a particularly alarming possibility given the IG report’s findings of bias in those investigations.

Gitt at Horowitz-rapporten giver mange eksempler på anti-Trump-holdninger i ledelsen af FBI, er dette nok et eksplosivt spor. Horowitz ville ikke konkludere med at efterforskningen af Hillary var politisk ladet, men republikanske kongresrepræsentanter drev ham fra skanse til skanse.

Horowitz og hans stab gransker nu starten på Rusland-sporet, som skulle blive til Russia collusion-sporet senere på efteråret 2016. Det som er belastende for FBI og justitsmimisteriet, er at de samme menneske, der frikendte Hillary, blev sat til at gå efter Trump, og her var holdningen stik modsat: De skældte ham ud og rakkede ned på ham i arbejds e-mails. Horowitz suggested that the IG is reviewing information concerning modified 302s, saying his office intended to «follow up» on the matter.

Peter Strzok og elskerinden Lisa Page er blevet herostratisk berømte pga. titusindvis af mails de sendte til hinanden. De lægger ikke skjul på noget eller bånd på deres meninger.

I Horowitz-rapporten fremgår det, at der var to andre agenter og en jurist som var på samme «hold».

In a dramatic moment, Meadows then directly asked Horowitz whether two anonymous FBI employees identified as making anti-Trump statements in the IG’s report were named Kevin Clinesmith and Sally Moyer.

Horowitz refused to confirm the employees’ identities, which the FBI has declined to publicly reveal, citing the supposed sensitivity of their counterintelligence matters.

But Meadows suggested that justification may have been a sham.

FBI har brugt sikkerhed som undskyldning gang på gang for at tilbageholde dokumenter. Meadows anklagede Horowitz:

“They don’t work in counterintelligence,» Meadows said. «If that’s the reason the FBI is giving, they’re giving you false information, because they work for the [FBI] general counsel.»

Rapporten citerer hvordan de to agenter reagerede på Trumps sejr:

“I am numb,» one wrote on Election Day. “Viva le resistance,” the lawyer wrote later, in response to what he would do now that Trump had won.

Resistance er navnet på Hillary-lejren som fortsætter med at kæmpe for hendes «sejr», selv efter nederlaget.
